[OVER VARIOUS COMPETITORS' PDAS, EXCLUDING GENSOKYO RESIDENTS]

All right, competitors. We will be fighting against each other in the ring, but until that moment, I am still your ally, and I wish to see you all fighting your best. Therefore, I am offering a quick crash course in creating and using your own spellcards. I would highly recommend taking this, as I will not be offering an other opportunity. Feel free to swing by the Simulation Chamber in the next few hours, and I will do what I can.

One competitor, at least, has already joined up; Kitaro can be seeing trying out some patterns, though they're still obviously not very high quality. Observers might note he's slightly tense around Ran, though Ran is doing her best in spite of it as far as coaching him.

Perhaps, but with an attitude like hers, you'll be lucky if you can cooperate with her on any level that doesn't involve allowing her to command the center of attention.

A little bit here and there. Yes, try channeling that into your spell cards. Obviously, you'll have to work a little for the patterns; for that, I suggest making sure they're relatively dense first, and then working on the imagery.

One stretch-and-snap of reality later and he's back to normal once again.

You'll have to forgive him Ran, for staring at your tails like that. It's just that it's kind of hard to keep count when they all move like that.

How is this a teamwork exercise if you're not going to make an effort to aim your attacks away from me?

It's a start, but you need to incorporate a little more movement of your patterns, or else your opponent can just sit between the groups. Either that, or use the pillars to lock their movement in a bit and add in some extra shots in between.

...I should probably try to work out a team strategy before I worry about spell cards. I'll just trust my instincts on those.
