It would seem all that hard exercise Kyon's been going through as of late is beginning to show some results! Nothing overt, mind. But his clothes are hanging off him a bit better than they used to, and there's evidence of some musculature beginning to build up. Which is helping him currently as he does some grunt work on the complex as one of the smaller jobs; mostly just moving boxes around in storage.

At some point, though, he has to take a break, so he heads out, heading towards the cafeteria.

["I have to admit, it hadn't occurred to me exactly how out of shape I was until I started doing all this. Everything seems a little easier to do now. I guess there's something to be said about have a solid reason to improve.

Also, I wonder if I should gloat about the fact they managed to catch one of the thieves based on something I figured out? I guess I should be humble about it though. It's not like I actually caught the guy, after all."]

This does not, mind, prevent him from having a BIT of a strut in his walk.

I saw something on the television a bit ago that made me curious about something. [She holds up the flash drive she saved the recording on.]

Can you take a look at it? 'Please let me be wrong. Dear Whoever It Is Pulling Our Strings, let me be wrong.'

On TV? Like what?

["Oh look, that sinking feeling again. I was in such a good mood too."]

This. [She plugs it into her PDA and starts playing the video file. Oh, look. It's Tsuruya on D vs. D.]

Is that who I think it is playing the violin there?

'Because the genderbent Brigade and family wasn't weird enough I have to find genderbent Tsuruya, too.'

["Sinking feeling gone. Man, she had me scared for a moment there."]

Oh, you mean Miss Tsuruya? Yeah, that's her. If you're worried about me finding out, it's okay. I already had my freakout session when they started playing the commercials.

Freakout session? No. I figured you already saw it since it was being broadcasted everywhere in the complex. I was just wondering if she was the Tsuruya from your world or not. I never met her when I've been there.

That's her all right. Wow, she's actually really kicking a lot of butt. I suppose I shouldn't be too surprised, but man.

I know. I don't think even Haruki would be able to pull that off if the person he was performing against did that.

I suppose if Miss Tsuruya has any major good points, it's that she's really good about rolling with the punches.
