I apologize for adding to the number of announcements made in the last few hours, but I'd like to express my condolences to the people of world P-3/4. It's a terrible thought . . . My own world was very close to the brink of destruction once. I sincerely hope that this Earth has only been misplaced, rather than destroyed outright.

That being said, if this turns out to be the work of a sentient entity of some sort . . . Enforcers, Councilors. I beg you to make use of me. If you find anyone in any world you believe to be withholding vital information, I have no qualms about dragging forth the truth, no matter whom it may be. I've used the 'carry-over license' we all received a few months back to register my telepathy to be used in any world. In addition, in any world with a system of magic, I should be able to Reveal the truth from anyone who's hiding information in a physical fashion.

Let's all do what we can to ensure that this Earth is recovered. This is a sincerely shocking matter . . . At this time, I'll be willing to go with anyone who wishes to take me. I only wish I could be in more than one place at one time . . .

Councilor Aenathia, wasn't it? Yes, I hope to be of some use during this investigation. I don't know much about how the multiverse operates -- do you have any ideas as to what might have caused this, Councilor?

There has been speculation. Some believe that it was absorbed into another world. Others that someone "stole" it. With as little information as we have, it is hard to tell. Unfortunately, with Sargent Morrison attempting to go against Council's better judgment and creating even more chaos, we have had to put search on a complete stand-still until a better solution is reached.

The Council is currently in a recess so that people may sleep. We should have an announcement for the next course of action by this evening at the very latest.

. . . I see. That's probably the best thing to do, though it's a shame that people can't agree even with a situation as drastic as this. To be honest, I believe both sides have a point -- Focusing attention on the alternative Earths may be wise, but we certainly shouldn't assume that no other world is involved in this.

When it comes to situations like this, there will always be disagreements when it comes to protocol.

I believe that Morrison speaks in haste, as he often does. He does not think outside the box. While I will admit, searching other Earths is a viable solution, one must not limit themselves to just that. I am glad that there are others that agree with this idea.

True enough. Within an organization as large as this one, there will always be dissenting ideas -- But that's why we have the Council, isn't it? The highest order of command.

I just don't think there's any time to waste.

Command without a definite direction would create even more chaos, would it not? And with Sargent Morrison under investigation, following his lead may not be a wise decision.

Mm. I suppose you're right, Councilor. It's difficult, but we'll simply have to wait until we have firm leadership.

Of course not, Enforcer Kiske. But I was a bit concerned about your announcement earlier -- My abilities don't technically classify me as non-human, I don't think, but I'm certainly not an average human, either.

Based on prior experience, you should be fine as long as you are fully human, regardless of any exceptional abilities you might possess.

Ah! I should've remembered. My very first assignment was actually in your world, and nothing untoward came of that. That should be fine, then. ~~Unless I really am partially an alien from the moon.~~

Where do you intend to investigate, Sir Kiske?

Well, to begin with, I intend to start by utilizing all of the resources I have as a captain of the International Police Force, as well as the connections I have in some of the governments of other nations. We would likely remain in Paris until we receive some feedback. If there is nothing, then I intend to investigate some of the more unusual or suspicious regions of my world.

For example, the republic of Zepp, the only country that still uses science and technology. The colony of Japanese refugees from the war.

And the gates leading into world P-3/4 all entered into the Japan of that Earth, if I recall correctly. That could be a good lead.

. . . Ah, it's a bit overwhelming to think about how to locate a lost world. But we must be successful.

Yes. I refuse to even think about what might happen should we fail. We must succeed.

[He is silent for a few moments. The fate of a world -- He's familiar with this. The thought of the deaths of millions, the destruction continents, of oceans, of an entire world. He'd never thought he would have to worry about it again. Those actually hailing from P3-4 were doubtlessly in shock.]

For the sake of all those people . . . Well. I suppose there's a silver lining here. I won't have to worry about nightmares since I don't expect to be sleeping much at all in the future.

What do you want to talk to me about?

I have a friend who seems to be suffering from some, ah. Nightmares. Dreams about his greatest fear. And in light of the current situation, it's probably best if we all get as much sleep as we can.

At this point, I'm beginning to think it'd be better to just find substance outside CO.

That might be best. Or. Well, I mean, you could do it a bit more subtly. Most people can get by with a mild nightmare, but when you make someone fall from a cliff over and over everyday for a week . . .

I'll be traveling anyway.

Around. And I had my reasons for my feeding habits, but those reasons've already changed. You shouldn't see anyone having repeated nightmares, unless they would have them anyway.
