[If you're wandering around at night for whatever reason, you might feel a chill run down your spine as everything suddenly feels darker than usual around you.

Down the corridor in the distance is a strange... Shadow. No other word can really describe it. Is this just some sort of Halloween prank? Or is it something more sinister?]

((OOC: A few people have already plotted ahead how this will go, but feel free to have any of your wayward characters spot this thing. But keep in mind, directly confronting it will go very badly at this stage. Flight is recommended.))

[Given its affinity for spiritual beings, the creature's attention is suddenly raptly focused on Bow.

Of course, by affinity, it means hunger.

And Bow may feel that sense of urgent, desperate, desire to feed creeping towards her... or perhaps simply filling the entire corridor.]

[There was something very wrong when a ghost defends herself against a shadow with a magical orb of everlasting light. Still, there it is. The hallway is illuminated as bright as day suddenly as the orb revolves around Bow.]

[Strangely, the light seems to simply be... consumed as it reaches a certain point of proximity to the creature.

But at the same time, it shies away... not from terror or fear of the light, but simply of revulsion. It does not wish to be exposed. It's true form must not be seen.

And so it merely sinks away into the ground, vanishing.]
