*Well, he's been wanting to research the policies of 0134 in the various worlds they have jurisdiction in. Trouble is, there's an AWFUL lot of boring text in all of that official documentation, and Phoenix is... not all that great with boring texts. Which is why even with the cup of COFFEE next to him he looks like he's about half a second away from falling asleep. Doesn't help that Tactical Commander Ran apparently wants him to tell her of any problem situations while he's at it, which means he has a reason OTHER than his own curiosity to do this.

What's that? Why doesn't he take advantage of the snow if he needs to get up and take a break? ...why do you think there's a small snow courtroom with a snow trial outside his office?*
[identity profile] devilsphyscian.livejournal.com
[God damn Mikhail, signing him up for that ridiculous tournament so he could win a childish fit about losing. Georik was itching for someone to yell at but picking an actual fight is foolish.

He rolls up a snowball petulantly and tosses one right at whoever passes by at an angle where it will make hard for them to discern where it came from]

And thou were calling Mikhail the childish one?

[He can see Mephistopheles smirking at him]

it is fortunate that I cannot touch you, devil...

As was listed in the weather schedule, the snow is falling gently outside. So a particular blue bug is taking the opportunity to really get into the holiday spirit. Taking advantage of her disguise hat, she's out there in an adorable fuzz-lined coat with matching boots, leggings and hat, and flitting around a large pine tree on the grounds, hanging large ornaments onto its branches.

Several boxes full of tinsel, orbs, stars and the like are at the base; it seems she has her work cut out for her.

Bother? Help? Say hi?

Guys, the General's revolution is a sham! He's not interested in stabilizing his country or making things better, he just wants to grab power for himself! He just tried to kill me, and that was AFTER I told him about the bill that passed! If it wasn't for Enforcer Mao, Agent Kirby, Agent Lockon and Captain Grimms of the Isthul Army, who knows what would've happened?! This is a major problem -- if we don't do something about the General, we're boned no matter what approach we take!

I don't care what happens, we can't let that guy stay in power, or else Isthul itself is going to suffer! No guy who's willing to shoot an unarmed diplomat to silence the truth can be trusted to rule a country!

EDIT 1: [VIDEO]

Hey Mao? By any chance, did you note the information of that reporter you, uh, borrowed the identify of? I think we may have a way to apologize to her that'll work well for all of us.
[identity profile] wright-idea.livejournal.com
[VIDEO]

Things have gone South big time over here, guys. I can try to talk to the council to see if I can get them to be more reasonable, but I'm going to need something solid to offer them besides "we'll try not to be so dickish" or something, or else I'm not even going to begin to get a foot in the door! I don't suppose anybody's got something ELSE I can use right now? Like, I don't know, a solution to their entire economic issue or something? Please?

*He sounds a LIIIIIITTLE stressed.*

EDIT: [VIDEO; ENCRYPTED]

*Phoenix again; this time, in addition to looking stressed, he looks like he's half ready to pass out.*

Um... I don't suppose anybody here is really, really good at being both a bodyguard and not being seen, is there?

[ISTHUL]

A multi-front battle. Three rebellions at once. Everything happens in threes, as they say, but there's a connection somewhere here and I know it. What that connection is, I can't say, and I don't have enough of me to hit everywhere at once. I'll just have to focus on what I've started -- and hope the head knows what the body's doing enough that I can get the information I need from everybody ELSE.

I'm deploying to Isthul. I need at least two Ground Force bodyguards and someone from infiltration to help me out. I have my reasons for going there, so I need you guys to trust me on this. I'm heading there as we speak, and I'll stay in CO safe spots until I get assistance, so meet me there when you can. Enforcer Wright out.

I may not be the best diplomat in the world -- but damnit, I'm going to do what I can to get the truth out, and get this under control.

[ACTION; IN ISTHUL]

*Phoenix waits impatiently, writing things down in a notebook. A plan of action, it seems. He needs to watch his step here; the air is full of conspiracies, after all.*

Let's just hope I can get results. This is no courtroom case, that's for certain..
[identity profile] wright-idea.livejournal.com
Politics. Ugh. It's times like these I seriously wish I weren't a diplomat enforcer. At least when I'm investigating heady court cases, it feels MARGINALLY less like I'm throwing myself into the fire.

Well, if I'm going to have to be hauled out to take care of this crap, I might as well find out what I'm getting into. Which means hitting up some of the files we've got on this Isthul place before I even THINK of taking one step towards heading out there. It wouldn't hurt to find out some more about why the hell we have sanctions on this silver to begin with.

I foresee copious amounts of headaches in my near future, somehow.

[ACTION; ENFORCER HEADQUARTERS]

Excuse me, Mr. Morrison? I don't suppose it'd be possible to get some files on Isthul and the silver sanctions right now, would it? I'd like to look into this situation a bit more.

EDIT 1: [ACTION; LIBRARY]

Not enough. There's too many questions here. SOMETHING happened. You don't just put trade sanctions on a world the moment you meet them. It'd be like if Columbus met the Natives and immediately prevented them from giving them any resources. It makes no sense.

*Phoenix is currently in the library, hitting up their media databases -- newspapers, broadcast news, what have you -- and all of it is dated around ten years ago. He seems to be really intent on it, if you want to ask him what he's doing; there's an aura of a man on a quest here.*
[identity profile] wright-idea.livejournal.com
[VIDEO]

Hey, anybody out there who can fight want to help me out with something? I've been working on a case on world ADA for a while, and I have to do an exchange with a guy I trust about as far as I can throw. I only need one person to help me out or else it'll look really weird. Thanks in advance.

[ACTION]

*Phoenix is spending some of his free time looking into this whole Illithid cabal thing. This has resulted in him stumbling across what in SOME worlds would be a tabletop RPG book, but here ends up being a disturbingly useful source. And we do mean disturbing...*

We actually thought something like THIS was a legitimate trainer? We really need to beef up on our foreign species knowledge, apparently.

*Interrupt him, or ask him what he's found out?*

((OOC: Before I forget, the request for bodyguard is first come, first serve, so. >_>))

[Georik is in the Sim Chambers, with sword out a group of very Generic Bandits. He strikes at them, using his height and experience to use, dancing around the crude swings as he sliced and stabbed through them. At first, it's all calm and composed, but as the counter went up and more bandits appeared his expression and tactics change.

He seem to be taunting them now, attacking more to wound and then to kill. As he hits the pre-set limit, he turns around and flick the blood off his sword, showing apparently an uncharacteristically sadistic smirk]

Pathetic, they don't last long enough to be enjoy...

[he stops in mid-sentence, realizing what he just said]

How are your investigations going?
[identity profile] kyoko-flirts.livejournal.com
[Kyoko pops up on the camera, not quite looking like herself. Her hair is messier than usual and she isn't quite her usual enthusiastic self. Actually, judging by the flannel she's wearing, she hasn't gotten out of bed at all today.

She pauses for a minute, visibly thinking, then speaks up.]

Guys? Does it normally hurt when a friend goes away?

[Because Namine is gone, and she's the first person Kyoko had ever really truly considered a friend.]
[identity profile] wright-idea.livejournal.com
You know, I've had any different number of things interrupt my cases, but I think a strike is a new one on me. I can't believe a month's already passed by here, though. I thought time was supposed to pass slower in HERE than out there. Oh, whatever.

Okay, I'm back for now. Anybody got any details for me so I can start working on this strike junk? I'd really like to get it taken care of as soon as possible.

Guys, why did I just receive an emergency call on my PDA recalling all Diplomat Corps in the field back to CO over LABOR STRIKES? I was kind of in the middle of something.
[identity profile] wright-idea.livejournal.com
*Phoenix has been rather busy lately what with dealing with Georik's father's friend's case. But he has found time to check in back at Planeo from time to time. Because of how much he's in and out, though, it's only been just recently that he's noticed...*

Hey... has anybody seen Mu lately? I haven't seen her in our apartment at all, and I'm not sure if it's just me missing her or what. I'm a little worried.
[identity profile] wright-idea.livejournal.com
Figures. They get an intern on for five seconds and the whole place goes nuts.

[ACTION]

*Phoenix finds himself weaving through the sudden influx of new people. He knows there's been recruitment surges on occasion, but this is a bit much, isn't it? Vaguely, he sort of hopes he doesn't run into anybody who recognizes him. Those sorts of conversations? Awwwwwkward.*

Which, of course, means I'm totally setting myself up for it.
[identity profile] wright-idea.livejournal.com
*There's a definite thump from Phoenix's enforcer apartment, followed by a bit of muffled cursing. It turns out Phoenix fell asleep trying to do some paperwork.*

Ugh... official stuff day in, day out. I'm beginning to miss having Maya drag me every which way whenever she felt like it. I need a break badly.

*He turns off the lamp and heads out.*

Come to think of it, when's the last time I did something that resembled actually doing something non-bureaucratic? Maybe I could do a job or something. Isn't that what the diplomat corps is supposed to do anyway

*...damnit, Phoenix, if you keep internal monologing like that you just make it harder to make an open post.*

*Whomp* OW!

*...I didn't mean run into a door jamb to get attention. Oh, whatever.*
[identity profile] hungering-god.livejournal.com
[Action]

[With the end of the Children of Entropy situation (along with the ordeal in the Labyrinth of Amala), Mu decides to hide away in her room. Sitting at her desk, she accesses both her PDA and an unknown computer most likely given to her at Shin Gensokyo. A few months already passed since she first came to Confuto Ordinato and much longer has passed as an Operative.

When a good amount of time has passed, Mu decides it's fitting to take a look at the balance in her accounts.

... she observes her finances composed of myriad digits. For a woman who lived more or less as a homeless, Mu possessed funds no ordinary person would ever get to see. ... However.]

Not enough... It isn't enough... After all these years, why don't I have enough...!? You mean to tell me that after all the shit I put myself through, after all the... people I've had to work and deal with...

It's not enough...!? [The woman throws both computers at the wall, deeply frustrated.]

... Hey. I've been wondering... are there any particularly difficult jobs available? I don't really mind how dirty I have to get my hands. Long as the pay's good.
[identity profile] lief-of-del.livejournal.com
[ACTION]

[After that is all over, Lief finally went back home. He have a mission to complete.

...A couple of months later (perhaps it was several?), he steps out of the gate. At least, if anyone can see him. He's wearing his invisibility cloak at the moment, and reappears once he pull the hood down.

For those who pay attention, his clothes look very different. Beside his well-worn cloak, his attire looks...regal. As befitting of royalty. An interesting contrast between the two, worn out cloak and neat regal outfit
.]

For those who know me, and those who do not, I am Lief from World-DQ. I had returned to my land for a while and...many events had happened in the past months.

As such, I am now the current King of Deltora. However, even with the change, I hope I can continue working with everyone as I did before.
[identity profile] wright-idea.livejournal.com
One more day before we strike. It doesn't seem like the Inspectors suspect the true motivations behind our training, so I guess we've all done as much as we can on this end. Still feel nervous, though. After all, anything could happen at this point.

All those targeted worlds... we'd better do this right. The idea that all those places could go down like Aethr did makes me sick to my stomach.

*Which is why he's up late again, wandering about. He hasn't really done this since the shadow attacks a while back, but once again he finds he just can't sleep. Perhaps a few other folks are anxious for the big day tomorrow.*
[identity profile] wright-idea.livejournal.com
I can feel it. Something's in the air, a sort of weird energy. Everything's changed of late. And I know what's causing it.

*He suddenly turns around.*

Look, would you guys stop trying to confirm the rankings already?! I can tell you're doing it!

*A crowd of fellow agents titter a bit and walk off.*

Great, I always wanted to be a hunk of meat.
[identity profile] wright-idea.livejournal.com
*He understands the PURPOSE of maintaining the lie, of course, but having to keep up a front on such a large matter is still stressing Phoenix out. Phoenix, who above all prioritizes the truth above anything else, and here he is having to maintain what essentially is a long-term withholding of evidence. Which is doable in short bursts, but for weeks?

Still, being the diplomat Enforcer he is now, he has been doing his job to the best of his ability, moderating the flow of information and keeping track of where the inspectors are from one minute to the next.*

And if that doesn't warrant a cup of coffee at least, I don't know what does.

*Which is why he's heading to the cafeteria right now, with a PDA full of information. ...and maybe some light reading on there for when all the heavy stuff gets to be too much. Or maybe you catch him as he's THERE, messing around with said PDA and nursing that cup of coffee like a boss. Either way.*
