Midna is in the Councilor's Lounge once again, poking and prodding at clusters of floating translucent-and-black screens that slowly encircle the palm-sized stone orb in front of her. She had discovered a way to link her spellsphere into the terminal system, and is now looking up the integration process for outside worlds into Confuto Ordinatio. What specifically happens? Is there a stabilization phase? New gates installed? What about civilizations in the world that happen to NOT be multiverse-savvy yet, are they contacted, let be, or stuffed out for the sake of unification? Does Confuto Ordinatio claim part of a world's resources, or exact taxes of some sort? What about the ceremonies, if there are any? Who takes part? And the most important question: what exactly does the world and CO get out of the whole thing?

Dimensional integration had been talked around so expertly that she could probably guess what was going on by the negative space silhouette it left behind, but the expert absence of an explanation made her suspicious. Of course everything made her suspicious... but considering the place's track record on trusting Senior Councilors, she figured she had every right to be.

[Rune is in his office, poring over files. There were some based on the information board that had been alluded to in the news broadcast, but as a Councilor, Rune's primary concern was the hearings that were going to be taking place regarding Aethr. So he was reading up on that.]

That's interesting. I didn't even know there were any worlds out there that were aware of Confuto Ordinatio's existence.

That's true. My head's sort of spinning even thinking about so many people from different worlds, though.

It seems that Cupid's arrows are losing its effect. With Valentine's Day coming to a close, a lot of us will be dealing with the hangovers that came from "love at first sight". Maybe the reason I was unaffected was because I already have a wife at home.

At any rate, it's nice to have things slow down a little.

*It's an exhausted Ran that emerges from the gate to Gensokyo; she's got some groceries with her, but you get the feeling that wasn't the reason she'd gone through the gate. She looks somewhat satisfied, though, so whatever she was doing went well.*

No breaches of the border, at least... I'll check again in a week, though. With all these bleeds, we can't be too cautious of our own security.

[In the library, Kashihara was busy scribbling in blank paper on one of the desks. There were piles of blank papers stacked here and there. Few crumbled pieces of paper lied here and there possibly after what may have been a short fit of frustration. As frustrated as he might have been, the school teacher continued writing as if his life depended on his writing. In some part of his brain, that's exactly what he might have been thinking.

Next to the piles of paper on his desk was a brown, hard-covered book titled "In Laquetti".]

Ever since the temporal anomalies, Deimonea's been nowhere to be seen. At least in the waking. She's been prowling the dreams of C.O., seeking to make heads or tails out of it all. She's learned something very, very important. There is no Dream Queen here.

The very night this discovery is made, there is a sudden plague of nightmares. Many of them drawn from your fears, but others're just strange. Experimental pieces designed to see what kind of reactions and mental states they might cause.

((OOC: Might want to check Deimonea's permissions post. If you don't want a custom-engineered nightmare, you can just get a really random and bizarre experimental one that might not even be that scary, even if it kinda hurts the brain.))

[After several days of running around, troubleshooting time-space related shenanigans it seems that they have finally caught up to everyone's favorite kuudere. Not that her body is much different but...well, she looks like this is her first time seeing the sun. Jacqli is currently in one of the park/cortyard areas, slumped like a puppet with her strings cut. She's also as naked as an infant, and about as responsive as a vegetable. She's got the thousand yard stare of the truly traumatized, eyes locked on the far wall, hardly moving except to breathe.

And for some inexplicable reason, the entire thing has gone all Disney princess, because she's surrounded by oddly monochromatic birds. Some of them are even perching on her, but none of them seem to exist except as three dimensional silhouettes. Red birds, green birds, blue birds, white birds, all of them glowing softly. And if you listen VERY closely, you might hear her singing those birds into existence.]

Okay. So apparently we're all caught in a timewarp here, which is why my penthouse no longer exists.

This is not much of a problem.

The problem is every time I try to use a Gate back to Earth P3/P4, I end up either somewhere in a post-apocalyptic wasteland filled with demons, or the Tokugawa Shogunate. If this is permanent (again), I'm going to be pretty upset.

[While complaining about this, Souji is wandering the grounds. In particular, he's looking for anyone who's been de-aged to calm them down and, hopefully, corral them somewhere safe. So, kidlets, feel free to bother/run from the authority figure.]

[A teenage boy walks around the compound. He's looking around, writing memos and notes of what he sees. It seems odd to do for a guy who seems to have just stepped into this place from a gate. It doesn't seem like he's writing about anything specific, though. For a few minutes, the boy stared directly at a blank wall before writing about it. Would you like to ask what he's doing? Despite his gloomy disposition, he'll be more than willing to talk about himself.]

[Note: This post is mostly relevant for the people who are a part of the Shadow-Self plot, but that doesn't mean that others can't post. It's just that this particular post will kind of be the first plotpoint for those that are a part of it.]

And so, we are entering the month of December... And a little beyond that, the end of the year. How quickly time flies... I'm sure that everybody has their own share of stories to tell about their year.

I encourage everybody to celebrate, but all the while, reflect on everything that has happened over this bit of time. How far have you come in your lives? That's what everybody should try asking themselves...

Hm... I apologize. This is something I like telling my students this time of the year. Forgive this old man and his habits.
