[Backdated to after the hangar investigation/action]

[Kashihara sits in his office, awaiting for a report from the Investigation Team. Here they were after a struggle with the Longinus units... But they were all accounted for, safe and sound. It was clear that they found something given their state and still, here they were. Kashihara is hopeful with the results, of course.]

So... How did it go? [He asks simply.]

Not well, sir. We found the mech, but it attacked us immediately. We had to subdue it...

[Minato's still not quite sure how to bring up the exact details of the battle.]

I think it was unmanned. Its pieces scattered after we defeated it, but there was no pilot to be found. Strangely enough, it still showed some personality.

I don't really know why it was there but... it did display strange abilities. It was able to seal mine away, for starters.

[Minato nods, slightly glad that he doesn't have to give an explanation about his ability.]

It did mention Personas by name, so it should know about my world. I'm just wondering why...

[Minato thinks for a moment. It could be [Humanity]'s handiwork, but the only member who could have a grudge against his world was defeated during the last event.]

In either case, am I allowed to look into the matter any further? If it involves my world, then I want to be involved.

[Even if he's not quite sure where to begin.]

[Souji's just going to look at you through some light first-degree burns on his face, Councilor.]

*shrug* It had some abilities I wasn't counting on. Being small enough to attack from surprise, first off.

Second is that it seemed to be able to seal Personas, or possibly just powers in general.

Well, there are some perfectly 'natural' people here. And obviously I can still use a sword well enough, or I'd be in the medical wing.

Well, Ran was the senior officer there, and she managed to do a little better. Probably by not charging the thing.

The most important thing is that we still don't entirely know where they came from, or who sent them. I hope the lab gets some answers there.

It turned out there was more than one, and we encountered both as we had split the part to more effectively search the area. Both have been neutralized, and we have sent the remnants in for analysis. Curiously, though neither showed signs of pilots, they were capable of communicating, suggesting some sort of sentience within the machine itself.

As the other two mentioned, they possessed strange weapons capable of sealing abilities. Yet for whatever reason, they only used it on Enforcers Minato and Souji. Perhaps we were just lucky.

She isn't entirely convinced of that, but let's roll with it.

Hopefully, we will receive the report back soon on them. I would like to note they knew of Personas, and seemed to ally themselves with some order, or at least the one we fought did. From the sounds of things, Enforcer Seta's story collaborates.

[Satoko remained silent as the Enforcers gave their reports, before adding in her own observations.]

It referred to itself as a Knight of the Holy Lance. Does that have any significance?

[identity profile] sleepy-guardian.livejournal.com 2010-10-13 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
I am not sure, but the machine wielded a spear with strange properties...

But is the Lance of Longinus not a weapon from Christian mythology? Why would a mechanical creature have such a thing...?

[identity profile] sleepy-guardian.livejournal.com 2010-10-13 02:01 am (UTC)(link)
That sounds like a prudent course of action.

...do you have any theories on how enemies like that infiltrated?

[identity profile] sleepy-guardian.livejournal.com 2010-10-13 02:06 am (UTC)(link)
that is a good idea. I may have to do that.

If there is a security vulnerability... [she trails off, frowning at the thought.]
