[Coming on the screen is Aenathia. Her face is pale, and she takes a deep breath before she speaks. For the first time, her voice shakes.]

Today is... a very sad day.

[She pauses again, lowering her head a little, then finally raising it toward the camera. She looks tired, upset and for the first time during this event unsure.]

I did not think that something like this would happen, that an Enforcer would do such a thing to a councilor. Elion, while at times a man very stuck in his ways, was a dear friend to many of his fellow councilors, and a dear friend of mine.

While I would like nothing more than to stop and grieve for the loss of Senior Councilor Elion, this proves that we have far more work to be done. I do believe that Mister Edgeworth has made a movement to proceed with investigation. I encourage everyone to look over that bill carefully and take into consideration the events of this morning.

If anyone needs me, I will be in my quarters until this evening. Thank you.
