Y'know that huge pot with the palm tree planted in it nearby? It's now a shattered pot with an askew palm tree set in a tiny island in the middle. Also half-planted in the dirt, head-first with worn-out sneakers kicking is a smaller, rounder, blue creature that looks an awful lot like Sonic, that pulls himself out with a shower of soil.
"WWWWWOW! I broke the pot!" The five-year-old Hedgehoglet cackles in a higher voice, marveling at his own powers of destruction. "Normally I just bounce off! Means I'm gettin' even FASTER! Uhoh. Hope I'm not gonna get in trouble for that..."
He looks around guiltily for any onlooking grownups... then sees Ran and breaks into a friendly grin, still dirt-smeared. "Hi!"
