[ Miku just returned from a few weeks of recording and, to put it lightly, she's in shock. The news she's hearing has death toll numbers so big that she can hardly comprehend. It's taken her a while to digest what she's heard is going on, and it's taken toll on the android's emotions. ]

I can't believe it... I was only gone a little while and all of this happened... Even if I cook and clean forever, that's not going to save anyone at all in this sort of situation, is it?

[ She pauses, adjusting the scarf around her neck as a nervous habit before staring up at the ceiling. Then she looks down at towards the camera again, biting her lip. ]

If I can earn money in my world, can that help here? The world runs on money, right? You can't do things if you can't pay for it, so maybe... [ she pauses again, not very sure she can help. For once, the confident diva isn't so sure of herself. ] If I can earn some money back home, could it be used to buy food and clothing and pay for the care of people who get saved, or hurt? I can hold a charity concert back home! I might be able to earn a lot of money that way, so...! If it might be able to help, even if only a little bit, I really want to try to help out...

... somehow.

[...So um. Clearing his throat and all, is a Matsu that looks familiar and yet different. For one he is more clean shaven, and two, he doesn't really look that uncaring.]

Whoa, I go back for 8 years and I return to a world dying... Dammit, Matsu, focus!

Right, uh. Name's Matsu Hitoyoshi to those still around the compound and not stuck in the lockdown, and first thing I'm going to do is to gather information regarding the current chains of events.

So.

What exactly happened to Aethr? Is it reversible, or is the best thing we can do is to save the trapped citizens and Agents?

*Phoenix finds himself having to put the Collected Works of Lovecraft aside again. Horror has never been one of his favorite genres; he would have never imagined he'd be reading it in order to actually DEAL with one of the horrors from the book, and frankly all he's mostly getting out of it is skeeved. At the same time, he's increasingly finding himself trying to force a belief that what he reads is fictional; if half the things are true in the book, then wherever that guy is from has serious problems.

At length, he finally puts the book down again, shaking his head, and goes up and out around CO to see if there are other matters he can help with. There's only so much of that he can take.*

How do people actually enjoy reading this stuff? It's just giving me the willies.
