*Ran has been slipping in and out of lucidity and consciousness for a while, spiking fevers on occasion. It seems at last, however, that they've managed to get things under control. She is, if you should visit her, still pretty weak, but alive at least. The hat she had been wearing is gone now, too tainted to be of any further use. At some point, somebody seems to have slipped her old one by her bedside, though.

Still, the nurses assure you that as long as you don't stress her, you can visit her. Will you take this opportunity to do so?*

[Kaito's been doing a lot of little work here and there in the clinics with most of the major healers are in the field to allow the nurses to do more, nursing and less organizing stuff]

Thankfully, the only magic I had been utilizing had been the gift given to me by Confuto Ordinatio for my work during the invasion a few months back. I am afraid the gift is... rather unsalvageable at this point, however.

...Oh, that reminds me. I found the bottle you arrived with. I assumed it was a sample of the tainted mana, so I ran it over to R&D. A bill to evacuate people from Aethr based on a priority set has been passed, and with it came a diversion of funding to finding a method to negate, if not reverse, the effects of the corruption.

Try telling yourself that you'll be able to help better once fully healed than you would in your current state, and thus should devote all of your energy to healing.
