[Having exhausted herself physically trying to find clues concerning Carmen Sandiego and emotionally in her attempts at comforting Katina, Lachesis returns to her room ready for a nice long nap.

She lays down to sleep in her dressing gown and turns off the light.

 . . . Click.  Click click click click click click click click click ok well that was just annoying why wasn't the light staying off?  She crosses her arms and squints up at the ceiling light in obvious irritation.

 . . . . .  . . . . . . . . . what the heck was that?!]

[Lachesis can be seen running up and down the hallway in her nightgown, holding a large, grey . . . mouse? out at arm's length. Her expression is rather clearly disturbed, and she seems to be wondering what exactly she's supposed to do with rodents the size of her head.  No one had said anything about rat infestations.  No one had said anything about adorable rats with sparky tails that kept trying to snuggle against her, either.

Every time she gets near the door to the gardens to throw it outside, she changes her mind.  Then changes it again.  Auuughhh what do?

The communicator eventually flickers on.]

D-Does . . . Does anyone know what this . . . thing is?

[Lockon happens to still be up at this hour, so he's still wearing his Celestial Being uniform as he's walking through the hallways.

And then he sees Lachesis running around and just. Stops where he is.]

"Wellll... It was during the OS crash. I and a couple of others decided to do a room sweep while everyone else was out preparing to fight, to make sure no more doppelgangers were taking off with extra weapons. I found it in the search. I didn't touch it because at first I thought that it was a chao egg, but with all these different worlds, who knows? Maybe that little guy was inside it. It would explain why he likes you so much."

That creature you're holding is a Metal Koromon. It's a type of Digimon, like Piyomon. The come from Digieggs, which you had one of. It hatched.
