ITP: Oh look, another first.

[Kyoko pops up on the camera, not quite looking like herself. Her hair is messier than usual and she isn't quite her usual enthusiastic self. Actually, judging by the flannel she's wearing, she hasn't gotten out of bed at all today.

She pauses for a minute, visibly thinking, then speaks up.]

Guys? Does it normally hurt when a friend goes away?

[Because Namine is gone, and she's the first person Kyoko had ever really truly considered a friend.]

I guess it's nothing bad, just, sometimes people just have to leave, I guess. I don't understand it much. I know my parents used to have to move around a lot, before they made me. Something about their work, I think, but sometimes I hear them talking about angry mobs or something. But people are weird like that, huh?

I dunno! I think that maybe things in the old days weren't as good as they are now, but I don't know for sure, since I've only been around for a year.

What are your parents like, anyway?

Dad's always working on his experiments, and Mom's always telling him when he's being weird again. He's the kind of parent who thinks it's hilarious to shout "It's alive!" when I wake up in the morning. But they're open about a lot of things I want to ask about! Like this book some lady wrote about them a long time ago -- Dad gets really mad whenever you mention it because she got a lot of things wrong, but Mom actually told me I should read it and then talk to them so they can answer my questions and tell me what really happened. Sometimes they confuse me or say stuff I don't understand, but I know they really love me.
