Dinosaurs again

[Ed went to his apartment, planning to get some reading in for the evening. About one minute later he burst back out into the hallway being chased by Some kind of bird.]

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS THING!?

[EDIT. Later, the video feed cuts in to see an archaeopteryx in a cage made out of the transmuted floor of a hallway in the enforcer apartments. Ed's speaking from off screen.]

Anyone know where this stupid thing came from? I wanna send it back there.

"Ed? Wha--Ohmygosh!"

Lucca is nearly run down by the alchemist, and ducks to avoid being bowled over by his pursuer.

"Wha... That thing looks like something out of the prehistoric! Is that a dinosaur? Or a bird!? Maybe both!"

"HiLuccaByeLucca!" He yelled as he ran past.

After thinking for a moment he added on, "If you can slow it down for a few seconds, I can trap it!"

"--Oh yeah, sure! Lure it back over here!" She calls back, backing up against the wall and forming a yellow aura between her palms.

When that bird-thing flaps past again, it's in for some serious slow going...

"Cutting around!"

Ed turned a corner, chased by the angry birdosaur. A few seconds later he appeared at a hallway intersection somewhere behind Lucca, running at her, "I dunno why this thing is so pissed but here I gooooo!"

"... ...SLOW!"

Lucca's aim and timing is good, especially with spells. She almost never ever misses. However, there's a difference between casting a spell on a stationary target, and casting one on an speeding flying creature that happens to be closely chasing one of her friends.

Here's hoping her aim is true.

Ed slides past Lucca as the spell zips over his head and drags the animal into slow motion. He spins around, claps, and alchemizes a cage made out of floor that forms itself neatly around it before it can make any progress.

"Phew."

There's a low echoey doppler-slowed CLONK, as the birdosaur bonks against the far wall of the cage in slow motion.

"...Good thinking with the cage! Wowwww." Now that the coast is clear Lucca edges closer to the cage, peering at it. "It's like a bird-dinosaur hybrid! I wonder what world it came from..."

Even as she speaks, she takes out her PDA and flashes it with her camera.

"I wonder what it was doing in my room."

Even so, he peered at the thing in the cage alongside Lucca.

"...arr... 'archaeopteryx.'" She reads aloud from her PDA, navigating the pronunciation with relative ease.

"'The supposed evolutionary link between birds and dinosaurs.' Hm... Dinos can be pretty territorial. Trust me, I know. Maybe this guy thought it was HIS room, and that you were the one trespassing."

"Huh..."

He pokes at the cage with his automail arm and gets a bite on the finger for it. Fortunately he can't feel it.

"What the hell am I gonna do with an arky-opter-whatever? Maybe someone else in R&D can find a use for it."

"Well, he IS kinda--"

She'd had her finger close to the cage and recoils when it snaps at her.

"...cool. But he couldn't have come out of nowhere. We need to figure out where he came from, and get him back home.

"Guess I might as well ask around. I can't exactly leave it in the middle of the hallway."
