Event: Vanishing World

It's quiet, about half an hour past midnight. Most of Confuto Ordinatio's residents have long since gone to bed, and since it's the weekend work has been scarce and the compound has been calm, almost unnaturally so.

That is all shattered in an instant as loud alarms start blaring throughout the halls. A voice is projected over the intercom.

"Alert! Attention all overseers, this is not a drill, I repeat, this is not a drill. The world "Earth," designation "P-3/4" has vanished. I repeat, the world "Earth," designation "P-3/4" has vanished! All Agents are to assemble and prepare to move out. All Enforcers are to report immediately to the Enforcer Headquarters. All Councilors are to report to the Council Hall for a briefing. Again, this is not a drill! This is not a drill!"

The message repeats every half minute for ten minutes. Hushed rumors have begun circulating already. Apparently, the world where mere humans utilize strange creatures called "Personas" has vanished, and rumors of foul play waft through the halls.

[OOC Information: For the next month, all characters will be working towards recovering the lost world. If, by June 8, 2010, the world of Persona 3 and 4 is NOT recovered, it will be lost, possibly forever. Don't worry, should you still wish to app a Persona character that option will remain! It will just come with an extra bit of information. Characters will be broken up into small groups and led by Enforcers, and they will investigate the occurrence together. Expect more information over the course of the month!

Characters are not, by any means, barred from posting or doing things totally unrelated to the event! Even in times of trouble there's still time to goof off and have fun, but you're also free to have more serious-minded characters be uneasy by this. Basically, react as you feel is most IC, even if it means your character isn't really helping the investigation much at all. The first few days will be devoted to organizing groups, there will be a number of cues and hints to use to investigate and find the lost world, so stay tuned!]

[As you filter into the council hall, a rather petite Elvin woman stands at the podium, her head down and hands clasped at her chest. Once she feels that most everyone is seated, she looks up, greeting them with the best smile one could possibly try to muster in the face of chaos.]

I apologize for calling you all here at such a late hour. For those who may be new or do not know who I am, my name is Aenathia, a Senior councilor and Elvin representative of world TWDRE-3. As many of you have likely already heard, we have experienced the unthinkable in these early hours. World P-3/4 has disappeared suddenly and unexpectedly.

I assure you that there are people working even now to find out the cause. I urge everyone, please, stay calm. There is bound to be information, hopefully sooner rather than later, filtering in from Sergant Morrison. Until such time, I encourage everyone to stay on grounds, no matter how much you may want to leave. We need not make things more chaotic than they more than likely will become in the next few hours.

If anyone has any suggestions, I open the floor to you. After all, we are the ones who are watching over Confuto Ordinatio, making sure that things go smoothly.

Enforcers, Assemble

All right guys, this is it. The big one. I knew when I increased the recruitment drive that it'd come to this, but I wish I had had more time to prepare you all. We've got to find this world, and fast. I'm dividing you all up into groups, every enforcer on the team should have at least two Agents working under them directly until we solve this mess. You folks are welcome to divvy up the Agents how you choose, though I suggest you give the Agents themselves some input on who they work with.

I am limiting the search to all worlds that bear the name Earth, they're the closest to the missing world and it's impossible to snatch a world that far away from its home field in the multiverse. We're looking for traces of movement, dimensional rifts, disturbances, anything out of place. I'll be working hard on this end to make it all happen, but I need you all in the field supporting me and reporting everything you find, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant. We don't have a lot of time, are there any questions?

[OOC: This post is for Enforcers to respond and start planning teams. Try to generally not take more than 3 Agents initially until all Enforcers have a workable group, after which you can divide up the rest. You are free to tag each other, this post isn't just to ask Morrison questions, it's for Enforcers to plan and prepare.]

[The video flickers on and you see a very delicate-looking Elvin woman staring at the screen. She seems calm, although there is a bit of a glimmer that this may be forced. She takes a breath before speaking.]

I wish to thank everyone for their cooperation during this rather chaotic time. Enforcers, Agents and Councilors, this is a time where we all must work together in order to avert this crisis. For those who do not know me, my name is Aenathia, Senior Councilor and representative of world TWDRE-3. I have served as a Councilor for 126 years and as a Senior councilor for nearly 100.

Allow me to be brief. This cannot be done without everyone's help. We must not leave any stone unturned, for that may be the deciding factor on whether or not we can resolve this problem. While I normally respect Sargent Morrison's snap judgments, I believe that perhaps this may be a bit over his head. To believe that information will only be found on Earth-bound worlds seems silly, does it not? This sort of naivete will not produce results. This is the first time that such an event has happened, yes, and I suppose we do have his vigilant watch to thank. However, the worst has happened, and I believe that it is perhaps time for someone a bit younger to take charge. Old eyes can only do so much. I believe that I would be best qualified for this position. After all, it is a Councilor's job to watch over the well-beings of the people, be they members of Confuto Ordinatio or otherwise.

I propose this: Enforcers expand their search to all accessible worlds and report your findings back to me. We councilors will do all in our power to solve what we can. Together, I believe that we can keep this situation from worsening, but we need everyone's cooperation. Thank you.

Ladies and Gentleman, and those who do not fit in those categories. I'm sure you're ready to head out, but I need you to listen for just a second. I am Devorah Kebi, CEO of Gilded Comet, one of the Corporations that is Funding and Assisting in Confuto Ordinatio's operation. Ms. Aenathia is correct that you must stay in place until we get reports in. Normally, I'd leave it up to you fine people, but something on this scale cannot be ignored.

Now, I want anyone who had previous experience with this kind of incident to give us all the details you can so my team of scientists can assist to the best of abilities, and anyone else who want to help, you will find that Gilded Comet Inc. is quite serious about this and is quite willing to spare absolutely no expenses in assisting those who request, whether it's supplies or less tangible resources - all I ask is that you report what you learn to me as well as the Agency. Your efforts will not go unrewarded, I can assure you on my name.

I will say one other thing, a Corporation has greater freedom in certain matters that may prove useful in digging up the truth. Not that I am suggesting you go against your supervisors here, or anything like that at all. That would be a terrible idea in this situation.
