Good job with the attack, everybody. I'm very proud of you, as is Confuto Ordinatio. I've been authorized to offer everyone who assisted in the planning and execution of this operation a reward, you may come to my office to claim it at any time.

[OOC: Reply here to collect a reward. ANY character that participated either in the planning, the diversion of the Inspectors, or the actual attack is entitled to a reward, if your character wasn't particularly active please just forgo a reward for them, but I'm generally using the honor system. Most of you had at least one character really active, I know, so in general most everyone should be entitled to one.

All raw material items you may have forged into currently existing items or made into new ones, just specify your desire to do so when requesting it. If you want, you can hold on to it, just contact a mod before you choose to use it so we can OK it.]

[Morrison waits a bit for Kyoko's post to settle in before making this one]

Far be it from me to interrupt the ratings, but I wanted to let you guys know that I've managed to secure a day for ship drills in the Astral. Currently I'm looking to schedule you guys around the 28th, although I can probably swing the 21st if you want. Let me know, I'll leave it to the Command Unit to make the final decision since they'll be taking charge of the exercise. If you want, getting a weekday should be pretty simple if that's what you'd prefer.

[The following message is heavily encrypted and sent over the Division 0134 channel. Everyone will receive it but will require some combination of optical, fingerprint, or other DNA scanning verification via PDA before they can access the message. Verification is painless and requires no action on the part of the character, but it does take about 3 minutes]

This is Sgt. Morrison, I have an important announcement. We have located the base the Children of Entropy used to manufacture the Entropy Bombs. )

I know a lot of you guys are still reeling from the Aethr situation, but I want you to know that I'm really proud of all of you. You all fought hard to save as many people as possible in spite of impossible odds, and you can hold your heads high knowing you succeed.

In honor of your efforts, your bravery, and your unflinching dedication, I, along with some members of the council, have set aside a fair bit of money to reward everyone for their hard work. I have some special items here that should aid you in further endeavors, take them with my gratitude.

[OOC: Reply here to collect a reward. ANY character that participated in logs in Aethr and aided with the general efforts is entitled to a reward, if your character wasn't particularly active please just forgo a reward for them, but I'm generally using the honor system. I hear the local council just approved the use of Planar bores, so I'll be releasing the key to the storehouse to Councilor Ridcully. I think there are about 10 in there, I trust you will be responsible about only using the ones you were allotted.

[[Action]]

[Those of you near the Gate Complex may notice that the gate that leads to the archery club room in Earth-F/SN has suddenly activated after approximately a day of silence, and someone is coming through. That someone just so happens to be Rider, looking far worse for wear than she did when she leaped through yesterday after Rin and Sakura. It may have only been a day in Confuto Ordinatio, but a few days had passed on the other side, and since Rider was temporally displaced, she had been cut off from the Sakura of her time, which meant no prana supply. Furthermore, she had had to avoid detection by anyone, most of all Dark Sakura or her past self. Independent Action had bought her an extra day, but she had to stay longer than a day.

So she had to spend most of her time in spirit form and sleeping, only awakening and emerging from spirit form to eat or steal odo by drinking other people's blood. Even with that, she was left very low on prana. So when she gets through the gate, she flops to the ground, barely able to stand up.

Once Rider has been moved somewhere that she can recover her prana, she sends a few messages.]

[[Filtered to Rin; Unhackable]]

Rin. Are you all right?

[[Filtered to Morrison; Unhackable]]

Sgt. Morrison, I wish to speak to you about Agent Matou.

[EDIT: Rider has been moved to the hospital wing. If anyone wants to visit her, they would be more than welcome to do so.]

Well, it looks like the council has decided, so I'm here to disperse rewards. We had a tie in the case of Miss Kyoko, the former clone of [train sound], so if a councilor would please come and settle the tie, I would much appreciate it.

Update: Kyoko is now eligible for a reward as well, thank you Councilor Ling.

*and the entourage is on the move again, going to Sgt. Morrison's place*

Morrison! I found something that might help! I... I don't suppose there's any way you can have this teacup analyzed?

*she got the teacup in a little baggy to prevent fingerprints from being messed*

[Edit, new action: Back in the Cafeteria]

*Kazumi is now searching through the trash receptacles for latex gloves or something like that*

[Around noonish, a voice comes on over the intercom]

*ahem* Attention everyone! I have an announcement! The council has recently approved rewards for those who went, as they put it, "above and beyond the call of duty" with the world of P3/4. I've got their rewards right here, so will the following individuals please report to my office at their leisure to collect them?

Tenshi Hinanai
Minato Arisato
Souji Seta
Miles Edgeworth
Raidou Kuzunoha XIV and Gouto
Haruhi Suzumiya
Cheryl Bugg

[Those named will get to choose between one of the following items, there's no limit to the availability of each item. All PDA upgrades work in all worlds, everything outside of the Trueform Ore will change composition depending on the world and may or may not retain its properties. Comment here to select your reward.

Trueform Ore: This ore has special properties that can be forged into a weapon or implement that will allow it to retain its properties and form no matter what world it is taken to.
Crystal of Protection: This can be set into pretty much anything with a slot for a gem such as jewelry or weaponry, it generates a soft blue glow that protects the user from harm. While the effect is not absolute, it will ward off just about any minor damage and can make a serious injury moderate, or even a fatal injury into merely a serious injury.
Everburning Gem: This can be set into a weapon or other implement with a slot for a gem. It sets the object permanently aflame when wielded or worn. The flame does not harm the wielder or wearer.
Mythril: A legendary metal, things forged from it are as strong as steel, but half the weight.
Radar Function: A PDA upgrade that will allow you to discern the proximity of all hostile individuals within half a mile of your location.
Map Function: A PDA upgrade that displays a map that extends within half a mile of your location and moves with you.
Analysis Function: A PDA upgrade that will allow you to analyze the composition and function of any object within the database. More obscure objects may take longer to scan or may not be readable.]

Phew. That got a bit stressful. Good job everyone, I've just completed my report to the council. You guys saved several billion lives today, and I want you all to be proud of the work you did. I'll try to take the office out for dinner when I have a moment, but the collateral from former Senior Councilor Aenathia's betrayal and Inquisitor Blade's injuries have left me swamped. Feel free to stop by if you have a moment, I'd like to thank you all personally.

[Congratulations everyone! You've successfully saved the World of P3/P4 and the event is officially OVER. We will continue to backlog the tower, but you may now generally assume success and everything can go back to normal. And by normal, I mean that there are about 50 "urgent" jobs that probably need to be done and a mountain of paperwork on each of your desks. Have fun!]

It looks like Councilor Ae... um... Elf was behind all our problems... well, at least some of them.

She proposed the bill to suspend the investigation, and when I accused her of intentionally slowing us down she immediately attacked Minato! I thought it'd be more difficult than that... I didn't even have any real evidence... I probably wouldn't have even though of doing that if it wasn't for Tenshi's information...

I should see about getting Raidou put back as an Enforcer, too, huh?

[Filtered to CEO Devorah Kebi]

I know we haven't talked but... I was wondering, did you have any idea that Ae-... the elf was a problem? Like... was she in charge of any investigations like this before?

[Filtered to Sgt. Morrison]

Is Raidou going to be reinstated as an Enforcer now that he's been cleared of charges? He has been cleared, right?
[identity profile] anemos-enigma.livejournal.com
Ah -- If anyone is a friend of Enforcer Raidou's, I was given permission to speak with him, and he's doing . . . as well as can be expected.  Please don't be too anxious.  Everything . . . It'll all turn out right in the end, I'm sure of it.

[filtered to Sergeant Morrison and Councilor Edgeworth]
[Ivan wasn't quite sure how best to go about making his report.  Ought it to be given to all Councilors?  All Enforcers?  After a bit of thought, he decided to be cautious about things and directed it only to the two people who had explicitly requested to be informed of what he had discovered.  They could tell anyone else who needed to know.  Ivan, however, addressed himself directly to Enforcer Morrison, attempting to sound as . . . professional as he could.]

I've got a report to make, sir!  I've been able to question Sir Raidou, and from what I've seen and felt of his memories of that night, I'd say that there's no possibility he committed this crime alone.  I'd even go so far as to say that there's no possibility that he was involved in the murder at all.  There are at least three things that don't match up with the theory.

What I think to be the most important point probably won't hold much weight at all.  But Enforcer Raidou genuinely has no recollection of the time after he was arrested, and his expressions of shock and surprise and horror -- They're all real, as far as I can tell.  I won't say that it's impossible for him to lie so well that he's managed to convince even himself, but that wouldn't explain why his mind registered nothing at all for such a long period of time.  I think it's likely that he was given some sort of drug to block his memories and keep him out of the way.  And his cat, Gouto, has a memory of being pricked.  The second thing is that, though it hasn't got much to do with my psychic powers, I don't think it's possible for the cell door to be blasted apart the way it was.  After poking around in his mind, I'll say for certain that Raidou can't perform any magic without his demons, and they were all confiscated during his first arrest.  It might be possible that he was able to hide one, but then it would have been found after the murder, wouldn't it?

But the best I have to offer for his innocence is the only thing Raidou does remember before waking up: the feelings of being pulled and of falling freely.  I was able to enter his mind deeply enough to experience these sensations nearly first hand, and after a bit of thought, I'm convinced that what he experienced was a type of teleportation or summoning magic.  I've been subject to Teleport Psynergy fairly often, and the tug and the pulling sensations are nearly identical.  And the falling can be explained if he was teleported a few feet off the ground.

S-So . . .  if he was teleported, then there's someone else we've got to start looking for.  It'd be a mage powerful enough to teleport a person from a great distance and to melt the bars of a prison.  And since there's almost certainly a second person involved, isn't the extent of Raidou's guilt too vague to determine?  I'm convinced he's completely innocent -- An execution at this point wouldn't be any sort of justice at all.  There were a few other strange things about the evidence, but I'm sure there are people investigating that already.

That's all, sir.  Thank you.

Emergency

At about three AM, the alarms sound once again and Morrison's voice comes over the intercom.

"This is terrible! Senior Councilor Elion has been murdered! We've apprehended the culprit, thankfully, but..."

The video feed clicks on, centering on the face of the murderer:

Raidou looks confused, even shell-shocked. He's bound in tight chains with a number of mystic runes hovering around him.

Morrison looks grim.

"Nasty work. He used Phe-lai, a dread poison that kills the soul as well as the body. Senior Councilor Elion is gone... forever. Even our healers do not have the ability to resurrect him.

We're launching an investigation, no Enforcer should even be able to obtain Phe-lai without explicit approval from 30 senior councilors and 60 councilors. The Overseers have already attended to this issue... Raidou Kuzunoha is to be executed within three weeks, the current day is slated to be June 8th. As usual, I'll be in my office with my communicator on if you have questions.

We do not know if he had any further accomplices, but he was alone when he committed the crime. Be wary, everyone.
[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com
[Morrison looks exhausted and fairly frustrated, but you might be able to catch a hint of triumph in his expression]

All right, I've just returned from the council. They've granted joint investigation rights to Devorah and Aenathia, and I will be heading my own investigation. With our current manpower, no more than five Enforcers may work under any of us, and the Council has said they retain the rights to reorganize the groups if they see fit. When you are all organized, come let us know who you'll be working with, and we'll get this investigation underway.
[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com
All right guys, this is it. The big one. I knew when I increased the recruitment drive that it'd come to this, but I wish I had had more time to prepare you all. We've got to find this world, and fast. I'm dividing you all up into groups, every enforcer on the team should have at least two Agents working under them directly until we solve this mess. You folks are welcome to divvy up the Agents how you choose, though I suggest you give the Agents themselves some input on who they work with.

I am limiting the search to all worlds that bear the name Earth, they're the closest to the missing world and it's impossible to snatch a world that far away from its home field in the multiverse. We're looking for traces of movement, dimensional rifts, disturbances, anything out of place. I'll be working hard on this end to make it all happen, but I need you all in the field supporting me and reporting everything you find, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant. We don't have a lot of time, are there any questions?

[OOC: This post is for Enforcers to respond and start planning teams. Try to generally not take more than 3 Agents initially until all Enforcers have a workable group, after which you can divide up the rest. You are free to tag each other, this post isn't just to ask Morrison questions, it's for Enforcers to plan and prepare.]
[identity profile] the-overseers.livejournal.com
Man, I'm exhausted. I've been working on both ends for the better part of a week, but the gates should be routing normally now. Damned filing management went on vacation and everything went to hell, this division got switched with 0059. If you guys are having any other problems, let me know.

[The AU event is now CONCLUDED! From this point on no new AU posts may be made, but all posts made before this can be backlogged. All gates are back to normal and the AU's have returned to their normal position as part of Confuto Ordinatio division 0059. For those of you who were AU'd, your character spent the last week in division 0059 while their counterpart was off in your division (0134, for the record) being equally confused. Put simply, all the AUs that were present over the last week are existing agents in another part of Confuto Ordinatio. Those who are inclined to dig or who were over in 0059 are welcome to generally figure this out as well.]

[Voice Post]

I suppose you're all pretty lost and confused right now. Well I've had a couple more days to be confused than most of you, so I'm old enough to have some answers while still being new enough to know the questions that go with them.

I'm Enforcer Samuel Vimes, so you'll be working for me. For today, I can be your friendly teacher, but after this I'm the guy in charge.
