Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Miles Edgeworth, and I have just accepted the position of Councilor here. Back home, I also happen to be a prosecutor, with several years of experience. If you need anything from me, I will be staying in penthouse suite 204.

I still can't believe that a place like this exists. Moreover, there's the fact that the world I've always known is not the only world there is. My worldview has been utterly destroyed in a matter of days.

And having seen so much of it myself... It's impossible to just disregard it as more supernatural hogwash.

Perhaps I'd best not dwell on my deceased worldview for too long. The facts remain -- the multiverse is in danger. I joined so I could find out why. Something needs to be done, but we can't do anything until we learn the truth behind why this is happening. And I will not rest until I find that truth. That is how I handle matters.

Youkai rarely have much to do with the law. The closest to any governing of innocence and guilt would come from the Yama, and that's only to decide the destination of the dead.

...Ah, there I go again, talking while assuming you would know what I speak of. I am a youkai, what humans might call a supernatural entity, and the yama is the judge of the dead. I apologize.

A prosecutor is a person whose job it is to collect evidence pertaining to a crime to have a person arrested for said crime. A prosecutor then uses that evidence in court to attempt to prove the person's guilt in committing the crime.
