So.

Say some random person shows up when you're out for groceries, attacks you, misses, and passes out. You try to get this weirdo help because people are staring, so you drag him home -- stupid on my part, but come on. You expect the relatives you're living with to, I don't know, call the cops or something, right?

No. The next thing I know, Mr. Weirdo is living in the other spare room.

Does ANYBODY ELSE see a problem with this!?

I am snowed in.

I am snowed in with cheap Styrofoam snow.

Someone up there hates me.
[identity profile] kyonko-narrates.livejournal.com
'Maybe it's how close these two attacks are, or maybe it's how much fiction I read as a child. Heck, it could be Haruki's own observations about the stupid Student Council and the sort of tactics he's convinced they'd try. Idiotic as it is to give Itsuko ideas, I never thought he'd say something that would have a point to my non-SOS Brigade-related problems.

Huh. Must be his way of looking out for me. I'll need to spend one of these meetings not complaining after this is all said and done.

Wonder how long until they start sending out the Med corps. to help or if someone's going to have to head out to help soon.

....does anyone else get the feeling these attacks and riots are more focused on Confuto Ordinatio than things like astral silver--('Whatever that is.')--and that a third one might be coming up?

I mean, we've dealt with direct attacks before and attacks being done on-world. Isn't it possible a third one is coming up and someone is just pissed off at Confuto Ordinatio and stirring up any possible excuse to attack it across the worlds?

[Later: Library]
[Kyonko is in the library? Actually looking up stuff on the terminals? CO's personal wiki, for a start, for general info on Erhas, followed by recent news reports from Erhas. What sort of problems could they have had that would lead protesters to blow up the Gates?]
[identity profile] variedmemory.livejournal.com
As long as the division's gone completely insane, I have a question for you. It's important, so don't question it.

So, CO. What's the weirdest thing you've ever seen in your own world?

['Because, seriously? This is the only thing we bond over. The sooner we do that, the sooner the higher-ups will get the place back to normal.']

(Yuuko seems quite proud of her plan, even if it probably isn't going to work. Well, it's being sociable!)
[identity profile] dooralwaysopen.livejournal.com
I should like to take a moment to stress to you all that even if you aren't a...I believe the vernacular term is "team player", there are problems that cannot or should not be solved with brute force or by yourself.

In particular, I know there's a lot of poorly control magic in the agents and enforcers of our fair division. While you are all entitled to your secrets, heaping on more magic to solve problems while trying to keep your secret is going to explode in your face and leave a lot of people hurt, killed, or worse.

Magic. Is. Dangerous. I cannot stress this enough. If you know of some power that you think is going to go out of control, then bigods don't keep it a secret. You'll only make the eventual disaster worse!

[Private to all councilors.]

I have concerns about Agent Luc. He has recently unleashed a potentially deadly creature from the dungeon dimension into our pocket dimension here. I dealt with it, with the aid of Agent Threepwood and Agent Kyonko (who I think deserve some sort of commendation), so no need for immediate worry on that front.

The problem is that he shows no signs of guilt or remorse about his actions. An agent who possesses the potential to create tears in reality with no moral compass or sense of restraint is a grave danger that NEEDS to be dealt with.
[identity profile] kaze-no-tenkan.livejournal.com
[Luc groans, and opens his eyes. It takes him a few minutes before his eyes can focus enough to tell him that he's in the medical wing. It takes a few more before he realizes that he can't move. His mind tells him that the cause of that is likely the drained feeling he has.

[And then he realized that he couldn't sense the True Wind Rune.]
[identity profile] dojikko-by-day.livejournal.com
Now, that's over, and I am sure we all learned a valuable lesson, not to trust weird look-no, that's not it. Check IDs? Yes, that's the one!

But another thing we learned is that team spirit is important! I especially liked the second exercise, with the truth field. I think it's wonderful, and will ask the council later to make it mandatory monthly. It'll be so much fun!
[identity profile] kaze-no-tenkan.livejournal.com
[ Private - Late at Night ]
[Luc's in the library, late at night, long after everyone has gone to bed. That strange 'feeling' had come back again, and he wanted rid of it. It... didn't feel quite like the True Wind Rune, but he couldn't imagine what else it was. Still, it brought him to the library, to find a solution.]

[ Open - The Next Morning ]
[Luc groaned slightly, opening his eyes. He was still in the library? Not that anyone would question it. He felt exhausted, though. He needed food, and bed. And not necessarily in that order. So he's stumbling through the halls, from the library to his room.]
[identity profile] kyonko-narrates.livejournal.com
'Wow, this is a lot of mail. I knew stuff was backed up because Susan isn't here, but I never expected it to get backed up this much. At least I don't need to commission a wheelbarrow for all of it this time.

Let's see.... junk.... junk.... junk.... letter for [Kyon], junk, junk, oh, hey, my subscription to Multiverse Jump finally came in. Junk. Letter for Kyoko. Junk. Jun--someone actually makes breast expansion pills?!

....Junk.

Junk. Junk. Yes! My paycheck! Finally! Junk. Junk....'

[And then she stops when she gets to the bottom of the pile and finds a very official document there.

A few minutes later, Kyonko, looking sheepish and trying her hardest not to sound overly enthusiastic, makes a video post.]

I.... I'm in the Medical Corps.

They're starting me off as a candystriper, but I'm supposed to get trained to do other stuff as time goes by.

Either way.... I'm in.

[PM to Thomas]
Hey,

You want to go get some pizza to celebrate? Maybe call it a date?

--//////

[PM to Kyon]
Hey,

I got another one of your letters. Looks like junk. You want me to shred it with the rest again?

Anyone else having weird dreams, or is it just me?

(As Yuuko's started going through her canon, she's beginning to slowly fill in the gap in her memory, mostly while asleep. Right now, she's only had the first dream, and she's had it a few times since coming back.)

[Insert video, receive smile:]

Greetings, everyone, and to all of my colleagues from the attack on the Children of Entropy base, congratulations and my personal thanks for helping to save, among other things, my own world.

I've a technical question about time travel. I'd like to know how it works in your respective worlds, if it does at all; what devices enable it, whether or not the flow of history can be altered, what restrictions have been placed on it, and anything about how the arrow of time can generally operate.

It's well-known in my universe, after all, that a universe in which electromagnetic charge, the parity of particles, and the direction of time are all reversed is identical to our current universe. This means that every theoretical violation of time symmetry is accompanied by a proportionate violation of charge and parity symmetries -- CP violations, for short. I regret my understanding of physics may not be deep enough to truly understand the full implications, but I'd love to hear what you all think.

Ridcully is out and about wandering the halls of CO. He looks much more serious than normal, and appears to be searching for something, although it's the most haphazardly disorganized searching you've ever seen, as he seems to have his eyes closed about half the time.

[Action, in an abandoned, secluded room somewhere]
[Private]

[Luc, having found a spell that seems that it would work, sets up the appropriate requirements, and casts it. Though he is severely drained, when the spell is complete, he finds that the near-constant presence of the True Wind Rune has faded significantly from what it's been for the past several weeks. It is not gone... but it seems to be back to it's 'sleeping' state]

[Action, later, out on the grounds]

[Luc's sitting under a tree, in a somewhat good mood (for him, at least). He's half-asleep, not that that ever stopped anyone from bothering him before.]
[identity profile] martini-manjuu.livejournal.com
[No, your eyes are not deceiving you. There really is a small, black, fuzzy thing riding around on a robotic bug. And he's everywhere. Hope he doesn't run you over]
[identity profile] variedmemory.livejournal.com
*Yuuko walks into the compound in a big winter coat, shivering and hugging herself for warmth. She tries and fails to shake snowflakes out of her hair.*

Allow me to list a couple of things that I can't stand.

One: grievous bodily harm.

Two: overly sugary food of any kind.

Three: Snow.

When my parents informed me that I was going to be living with relatives for the next two years, they forgot to mention that these people apparently live at the South Pole.

I'm not gonna survive.
[identity profile] kaze-no-tenkan.livejournal.com
[Having been released from the Medical Wing, where he'd woken up, Luc made his way to the library, to start doing research. He didn't know what had happened since that last spell of the creature's hit him, but he knew that the True Wind Rune was active. And it had decided to start slipping him dreams, which was bothering him and making him cranky (okay, more cranky than normal). It didn't help, either, that he felt a constant presence watching him. He figured that it was the Rune, and, for that, he was going to find a way to seal it, so it would leave him alone. Bother him? Note that he's not the only one feeling things?]

[See the OOC post for more details on what/if you'd be feeling]
[identity profile] variedmemory.livejournal.com
Cut for your brains and your flists )

(Yuuko's plan to contribute to distracting the inspectors: Spam the network. Imagine at least five posts a day with similar stupid surveys popular with teenage girls, saturating the PDA network so the inspectors have to wade through them if they intend to creep on every post out there.)
[identity profile] variedmemory.livejournal.com
[action]

*Yuuko's sitting on the couch in a common room, flipping through the channels. She seems to be either incredibly bored or incredibly preoccupied.*

['Space battles, spying, infiltration, giant robots, keeping the stuffed shirts busy... I'm starting to get what everyone was talking about. I have to do something to help, but just look at me. You'd think that this kind of job would at least come with powers. Maybe a jetpack.

Hey, mysterious supernatural destiny? You kind of suck.']

...Is there even anything good on TV?
[identity profile] kyonko-narrates.livejournal.com
'Okay, so! First crisis out the gate since she gets back and already we have a colossal screwup. Hopefully I can divert things before someone winds up dying because of this. Because, seriously, I thought the Suzumiyas would have more common sense than this. I was on Aethr. I've been to World-BS. The reality of this place screwed up Haruki to the point he needed to be decommissioned! Why can't Haruhi see how bad an idea this is?'

[PM to Morrison and Ramirez]

Sorry if I'm overstepping bounds with this, but what's the idea putting a high school girl with zilch combat experience in charge of one of the battleships?

(OoC: Reply when you guys can, if either one even bothers to reply at all. :|b)

[Action]

Because the mun hates leaving things limited to only mod-interaction.

[Oh, hey, it's a very worried-looking Kyonko picking at her food in the cafeteria, checking her PDA for messages regularly before putting it down to pick some more at said food. Bother?]
[identity profile] kaze-no-tenkan.livejournal.com
[Luc... is restless. He's randomly wandering the halls, looking extremely exhausted. Surprisingly enough, he's actually headed somewhat in the direction of the Agent Dorms and his room, where he hasn't gone since he heard he'd been assigned a roommate.]

[Stop him and make sure he's alright?]
