[Those who venture outside may be treated to a full-scale Pokemon 'battle' between Atsuro's weakest demon and his only Pokemon.  Actually, they'll probably be treated to a scene of Kabuso alternately poking Bidoof repeatedly in the stomach, pulling on its ears, riding on top of it, and generally being a nuisance while Atsuro yells and rages.  Bidoof looks terrified.]

I choose you!  Majuu Kabuso!  Go -- Attack with Zan!

Quit it with the funky screaming, loser.  What'm I s'pposed to be fighting now?  That pathetic thing?

It's a training montage. Roll with it.  Alright, Doofy!  You gotta dodge, OK?  If you do well, there's some biscuits in it for you!  There's a good beaver!

2.  [in the lounge of the agent dorms]
[Holding Bidoof tightly in his lap, Atsuro gazes at the television screen with stars in his eyes.  Bidoof's eyes, in contrast, are glazed over.  Together, they are watching the final episodes of Ash's adventures in the Kanto Pokemon League.  They've probably been sitting there for hours by now.]

You watching, Doofball?  Keep your eyes on the screen -- That's where we'll be soon enough.  Yeah . . .

3.  [by the Gate to the Pokemon World]
[Clutching Bidoof dejectedly under one arm, Atsuro stares at the newest technological contraption he's picked up with some measure of dismay.  The Poketch reveals that . . . ]

How do you even lose levels?  Is that possible?  This thing is defective, right?  Darnit, Bidoof.  You gotta stop doofing off.  Maybe it's time to just call it quits . . . For the day, I mean.

There's no way he's only level 6. It was definitely higher when we started.

[Bidoof recognizes his chimey friend from several months ago and begins to air-paw. Atsuro ignores it.]

. . . I was. I can't even remember now. Bidoof must be wearing off on me.

[Omi chuckled, and Chingling floated just out of reach of Bidoof]

You know, after everything's over, we should go out training together. I was going over the world info, and it seems like Petalburg would be a good place for us to train around. And maybe pick up some more Pokemon.

Naoki stumbled in, and is raising an eyebrow at the screen. Right away, he could tell it was Pokemon, a series he had once liked back then as a child. Yet when he turns to Atsuro to wonder which episode it was, he jumps back on what is on his lap. Seeing his own demons was one thing, but this was on a new level of surprise to him.

"A...A live Pokemon!? Man, this place has everything, doesn't it?"

It was slightly concerning that Atsuro could manage to get his eyes to be so shiny and wide.

"Well save for they have in the doujin and manga sections, it is quite a paradise," he remarked, and recalling the day he talked to Duo regarding the doujin's he was already in the process of burning; surplus of macca did help with that.

"Personally though, if I had to choose, I would've gone with the Charmander. I'm a sucker for the lizards and the classics."

"Man, if I had a choice, I'd have started off with a Dragonite." Atsuro covers Bidoof's ears just in time, although the beaver doesn't seem to particularly care. "But I guess I'm a little old to be starting off on my Pokemon journey or anything, so it's wild Pokemon for me."
